Description
celebrating Jura's birthday.The bell's run to end this 1-rounder between the Chibi Tatsumaki and Aoki Noemi. Jura found out in short order that despite the long layoff from her hospital stay, Noemi's fierceness showed that she felt no ring rust at all stepping in the ring with the young Tatsumaki. Jura's left feeling that she wasn't able to truly show her surrogate mother anything, and her mind harkened back to her difficult beginnings in boxing. Can the woman who dominated her bring comfort and reassurance to Jura?

Jura was overwhelmed by the suddenness of a hug being given, rather than a hard punch that she was expecting. Her body went limp once the bell rang, and her own arms grabbed Noemi by the waist. Her bruised face rested on the veteran's bust as she breathed in and out heavily, "HUHHMM..... HUMMMMM.... D-doushite?" (Why?)
"Mm, doushita?" (Why not?) Noemi looked at the confused girl.
"W-why didn't you just do it...?" Jura replied, "I-I couldn't do anything to you,"
"Boxing isn't about being dominant in the sport all the time," said Noemi, "it's also about showing respect to one's opponent along with gaining it. And you... you definitely received my respect."
"How? You made this look so easy, even with your long layoff. You're so strong and skilled, still. I felt... I felt like I was in my first week of boxing. I couldn't really... show you anything," Jura said, a bit shaky in voice. She does well with someone as gifted as Tamao, but this was a flashback to earlier times when she didn't do well at all in training bouts.
Noemi patted the troubled girl's head softly, "Do you remember the question you asked me before we started?"
Noemi couldn't see it, but a tear did stream down Jura's bruised cheek. Like anyone else, she doesn't like being dominated in these special sparring matches without being able to give it back equally to show she can't be intimidated, "U-Un. I remember it,"
"You didn't surrender," remarked her mother, "you kept trying, you scored one good hit to me, and you didn't get knocked down in the end. I know what I did tonight was hard on you, but in the same way I feel towards Mi-chan..." With nothing to fight about, she cuddled with Jura to give her comfort, "I'm really proud of you."
Jura shook her head as it pressed against Noemi more, "Only one time.... it's not enough. Only one hit in a whole round..." her voice blurted out softly.
"Daijoubu," Noemi kissed Jura on the forehead, "you will do well against me someday with the path your walking on. Mi-chan will help you, and so will your mother. Let me be that mother to help the Yukinoshita Jura I respect."
Jura tightly embraces Noemi, trying to fight back tears. This woman's doing what her own mother never did. Offer comfort, "D-Doumo, Noemi-kaasan. It's weird to say, but I have to show you... that I can stand up to veterans like you. That... I can give as much as you gave me. That's... that's just the way I am," She matched eyes with Noemi, "I wanna.... fight you for real, a real sparring match...,"
"Mochiron," nodded Noemi, "that's my promise to you, and my present. Happy Birthday, Jura-chan."
Jura buries her head in Noemi's bust, holding her tightly, "Arigatou.......... Noemi-kaa-san,"
